14th Trading Week (01st – 05th) of April, 2024 trade journal)

My reason for sharing my trade journal is to encourage traders to also keep one for two major reasons:

  1. Track your weekly trading performance.
  2. Build a better psychology, which will sharpen your trading intuition

Both can only be done when you keep a comprehensive journal, and review it every week.

MONDAY 01/04/2024

EUR/USD (6.30 am)

Analysis: The sell was inspired by our Weekly Market Analysis

EUR/USD Update (1.50pm)

Analysis: My stop loss at break even was triggered, before price hit target profit, so I closed this trade at breakeven

TUESDAY 02/04/2024

USD/CAD (1.30 pm)

Analysis: My reason for buying was the fact that USD/CAD bullish on the daily time frame.

USD/CAD Update (1.30 pm)

Analysis: Closed this trade with +14 pips

WEDNESDAY 03/04/2024

USD/JPY Update: I closed this trade with -13 pips

THURSDAY 04/04/2024

Trade activity summary for the week

DATE PAIRS BUY/SELL PIPS MADE/LOST
MON (01/04/2024) EUR/USD SELL  Breakeven
TUES (02/04/2024) USD/CAD BUY  +14 pips
WED (03/04/2024) USD/JPY BUY  – 13 pips

THUS (04/04/2024) GBP/JPY BUY  +3 pips
 TOTAL  + 4 pips

In conclusion:

I closed the week with about +0.4% profits. Not much, but considering the fact that I fell seriously ill on Tuesday, and I basically managed through a tough trading week, I commend my effort

That said…,

I missed out on the EUR/USD trade on Monday. A few minutes after I closed it as a breakeven trade (due to the high impact news, hours away), price ran to our target profit

Looking forward to this week
