29th Trading Week (15th – 19th) of July, 2024 trade journal)

My reason for sharing my trade journal is to encourage traders to also keep one for two major reasons:

1. Track your weekly trading performance.
2. Build a better psychology, which will sharpen your trading intuition

Both can only be done when you keep a comprehensive journal, and review it every week.

MONDAY 15/07/2024

AUD/USD (3.30am)

Analysis: My reason for buying can be seen in our weekly market analysis

AUD/USD Update (10am)

Manually closed with +10 pips

TUESDAY 16/07/2024

AUD/JPY (7am)

Analysis: Break of structure on the 15 minutes time frame and a bearish outlook on the daily time frame inspired this sell

AUD/JPY Update (9.06am)

Manually closed with +9 pips

WEDNESDAY 17/07/2024

EUR/USD  (3.45am)

Analysis: Break of structure

EUR/USD Update (9.37am)

TP hit +14 pips

GBP/USD  (8.42 pm)

Analysis: A strong bullish outlook on the larger time frame and price bouncing on a key support zone inspired the buy 

THURSDAY 18/07/2024

GBP/USD (7.19 am)

Analysis: I finally got an opportunity to add to the GU trade when I noticed a break of structure

Both GU trades hit stop loss and I lost (-48 pips)

In Conclusion:

This was an interesting week for me. I was inches away from closing the week with good profits, and also have no losing trades, until the GU trade messed things up

That said, discipline and a good money management system saved me from the market’s wrath. 

I closed the week with +1.6% ROI despite having a negative pip value. I did well in managing my trades and expectations, and I am looking forward to next week
